In 1999 we had a dream to find the high quality tea enjoyed by connoisseurs of yesteryear: a dream to discover “TEA, AS IT ONCE WAS.” And so we set on the arduous task of locating the tea that matched our exacting criteria. We were looking for the best tea in the Universe, with an aroma that that excited the taste buds of the most demanding connoisseur and a color unmatched by any other. However, finding gardens which produced teas with the exact qualities we were looking for took much longer than expected. Eight years after our initial dream, we finally found the right tea gardens in Ceylon.
